Cattle Adventure

After years of reading books and attending conferences, on Thursday I began a practical venture that I've been particularly looking forward to- I have my own cattle! In the spirit of diversity I purchased three heifers-one black, one red, and one white. The poor little traumatized calves looked like wild horses as they bounded out of the trailer and mowed down my cross fence. They've set up camp in the far corner of the pasture. You need binoculars to get a good look at them, but here's a couple of pictures.

My first litter of rabbits

Berri had her kitten's (baby rabbits), seven more rabbits! Now I have eighteen rabbits total.
They were born sunday morning, here is some pictures of them,

Momma rabbit pulled fur to make her nest, and keep the kittens warm. She had them in a disposable, cardboard nest box that I made.

The proud mommy.

In six weeks the baby's will be weaned, and in twelve weeks they will be big enough to sell.
